David Atkins thinks he knows why Trump is so bad at dealing with the pandemic: Trump Has No Fixer To Make COVID-19 Go Away: He’s used to simply hiring people who make his problems disappear. That won’t work with a global pandemic.
At the beginning of the piece, Atkins quotes Trump as saying, “I feel about vaccines like I feel about tests. This is going to go away without a vaccine, it’s gonna go away, and we’re not going to see it again, hopefully.”
Atkins attributes this piece of nonsense to Trump’s history as an entitled rich guy who could buy his way out of any problem.
Nice try, but A SWING AND A MISS.
Evil entitled rich guys are not necessarily delusional.
The statement should be accepted as an accurate self-report of Trump’s state of mind.
It’s hard to accept that the guy flying your Malaysian Airlines flight to Beijing is under the delusion that he has to fly southwest from Kuala Lumpur to get there. Accepting that the pilot suffers from that delusion and is acting upon it portends that the outcome will not be good. So, naturally, you find it hard to accept.
But things are what things are.
