The New York Times reports that Stephen Miller wrote the speech Trump read yesterday. A good friend of mine, with access to inside sources, has let me know that Trump’s original draft read as follows:
“Hate, sometimes perhaps it’s not so good, but other times maybe. They say it’s bad for the heart, I don’t know. Some talk about pain in the soul, doesn’t make sense to me. Anyways, we are making America great again. Main thing is the message got through. Send them back, or.”
I thank my friend for his detective work in uncovering this original manuscript.
As for me, when I hear Trump speak of the mind, the heart, and the soul, I am reminded of the Straw Man, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion. He has each of their deficiencies, combined into one person.
Greetings to yesterday’s readers from Canada, Germany, India, Malaysia, Russia (Hello, Vladimir!!!), Thailand, the United States, and Zimbabwe. And to today readers from Belgium (and we know that Belgium is “a beautiful city”), Cyprus, Ireland, Italy, and the United States. If you are from another country, you might want to take your vacation somewhere other than the United States. It isn’t safe.
